Hawkeye Lunch Box
Grandpa Langstaff brought this cool Hawkeye lunch box over for Sophie. She became obsessed with her present and insisted on holding it while we read stories. We had a 10 minute conversation, with crying, about why she couldn't sleep with it in her crib.

Socks in the Summer???
Sophie insisted on wearing socks and shoes with her dress when it was at least 80 outside. Apparently her father is having more of an influence then I realized.

We spent Sunday in De Witt, IA for the Ahlers Family Reunion. Lots of food and good weather.

Mike and I went on this ride with Sophie and it was our last. Not quite as much fun when you're a kid. We didn't feel so good afterwards.

Fun at the Blueberry Patch
We headed to the blueberry patch with the Roesler Family. I think we actually got more blueberries in the bucket this year... last year most of them were in Sophie's mouth.
Trip to the Zoo
We took a trip to the zoo near Davenport in July. Sophie loved feeding the fish/ducks and was quite impressed with the turtle. She was a little freaked out with the noisy bear but we quickly moved on.

This swan came right up to Sophie and took the food out of her hand.
